Grant Management Specialist
The work involves responsibility for developing, procuring, and monitoring of grant funds that may be available for programs of interest to and supported by the district. An employee in this class performs professional level work in identifying possible funding sources to develop programs that may be available. In addition to the identification of sources, the incumbent is also responsible for preparation of a written proposal to the funding source which explains the proposed program focus, the means to accomplish the goal and the dollar amount necessary to effect a successful conclusion. Upon grant approval, the employee, in conjunction with the receiving department, functions as a compliance monitor of the grant, although not responsible for the fiscal disbursement/audit of the program. The work is performed under general supervision of the County Manager. Does related work as required.
